These are the promises and mighty works of the
one true God, Jehovah, the Great “I AM,” the King of Kings, the Lord of the
Universe, the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Messiah, the Way, the
Truth and the Life, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…our Rock, our Hope and our
Salvation.
As
His creation, we live moment by moment by His grace. Of ourselves, we cannot do anything (John
15:5b), but He has already done everything.
“In
the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
“He
made the earth by His power, established the world by His wisdom, and
spread out the heavens by His understanding.
When He thunders, the waters in the heavens are in
turmoil, and He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain and brings
the wind from His storehouses.” (Jeremiah 10:12-13)
“Then Moses said to the people, ‘Remember this day
when you came out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery, for the Lord brought
you out of here by the strength of ⌊His⌋ hand.’” (Exodus 13:3)
“The
virgin will conceive, have a son, and name him Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)
“An
angel of the Lord suddenly appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of
David, don’t be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what has been
conceived in her is by the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and
you are to name Him Jesus, because He will save His people from their
sins.’ Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord
through the prophet: ‘See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a
son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated “God is with us.”
“When
Joseph got up from sleeping, he did as the Lord’s angel had commanded him. He
married her but did not know her intimately until she gave birth to a
son. And he named Him Jesus.” (Matthew 1:20-25)
“In
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were
created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that
has been created. Life was in Him, and that life was the light of
men. That light shines in the darkness, yet the darkness did not
overcome it… He
was in the world, and the world was created through Him, yet the world did
not recognize Him. He came to His own, and His own people did not
receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, He gave them the
right to be children of God, to those who believe in
His name, who were born, not of blood, or of the will of
the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:1-5 &
10-13)
“For
God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and
Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but
have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“I
want to clarify for you the gospel I proclaimed to you… that Christ
died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was
buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.”
(1 Corinthians 15:1 & 3-4)
“Therefore
if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed
away, and look, new things have come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
“Then
the One seated on the throne said, ‘Look! I am making everything new.’ He also
said, ‘Write, because these words are faithful and true.’” (Revelation
21:5)
